N.O.U.S. Records ist ein noch recht junges, unabhängiges Techno Label. Es wurde am 1. Juli 2017 von Peter Ulrich aka "Ulrich S.o.l.o." (U.S.) und Enrico Heldt alias "N.O." (Enno) gegründet und ist seither im Nord-Osten Deutschlands, genauer in Greifswald beheimatet.
Der Name "N.O.U.S." setzt sich primär erst einmal aus den Kürzeln der beiden Gründer, sprich aus "N.O." und "U.S.", zusammen, aber zeitgleich ist "nous" auch ein Wort im französischen und bedeutet übersetzt "wir". Und genau diesem "nous" hat sich das Label, als eine Gemeinschaft aus Musikern und Künstlern mit der gemeinsamen Liebe zur elektronischen Musik, verschrieben und soll so jungen aufstrebenden Musikern, ebenso wie gestandenen Künstlern als Plattform zur Veröffentlichung ihrer Werke dienen.
Beide Gründer sind seit den späten 90er Jahren sehr stark mit der elektronischen Musik verbunden und können daher gemeinsam, bereits heutzutage, auf über 40 Jahre Erfahrung zurückblicken. Begonnen habe beide ihr musikalisches Schaffen bereits in den frühen 2000ern als Vinyl Dj's, sammelten aber im Laufe der Jahre ebenso viel Erfahrung im digitalen Bereich an. Neben der Wiedergabe von elektronischer Musik, fingen sie vor ungefähr 3 Jahren dann auch damit an, sich mit der Produktion zu beschäftigen. Dieser Umstand verband die Beiden im weiteren Lauf der Zeit dann noch enger miteinander und führte vor etwas mehr als einem Jahr zur des Gründung des Labels.
Aus musikalischer Sicht betrachtet liegen bei beiden Gründern die Ursprünge im Techno und House und so durchlief ihr Stil über die Jahre natürlich auch das ein oder andere Subgengre wie z.B. Tech- oder Deep-House. Dem eigenen Empfinden und dem Geschmack der Zeit entsprechend, war es eben mal etwas housiger und mal ein wenig technoider, aber unabhängig davon blieben einzelne Elemente stets unangetastet. So gab und gibt es in all ihren gespielten oder produzierten Tracks immer tanzbare Beats gepaart mit einprägsamen Synths und Vocals.
Heutzutage primär im Bereich des Techno, bilden diese Elemente daher auch jetzt wie in Zukunft, die Basis von N.O.U.S. Records. So sind und werden knackige und raumfüllende Kicks und Baselines, tiefe und prägnante Synths und alles abrundende Vocals der rote Faden des Labels sein. Zu all dem kommt dann noch die persönliche Haltung der beiden, welche sich durch einen extrem hohen eigenen Anspruch und starke Selbstkritik auszeichnet.
In der Hoffnung, dass das, was bis heute geschaffen wurde, weiterhin beim Zuhörer Gefallen findet, ist das Ziel des Labels, weiter zu wachsen und sich am Markt zu etablieren.So konnten in diesem Zusammenhang bis heute auch schon weitere, vielversprechende, aber vor allem junge, Künstler für das Label gewonnen werden. Jedoch mit dem Wissen, dass der Markt heutzutage sehr weit gefächert und zudem extrem schnelllebig ist, gilt es daher, sich nicht mit dem Erreichten zufrieden zu geben, sondern immer weiter zu machen und sich zu verbessern.
Und deshalb heißt es weiterhin hart zu arbeiten, arbeiten, arbeiten…
N.O.U.S. Records is a young independent techno label and was released on July 1st, 2017 by Peter Ulrich aka Ulrich S.o.l.o and Enrico Heldt alias N.O. founded. Primarily stands N.O.U.S. for Enno (N.O.) and Ulrich S.o.l.o (U.S.), but at the same time "nous" also comes from the French and means "we". And that is exactly what the label wants to stand for, for „we“, for a community of musicians and artists with love and passion for the electronic music. The label is based in Greifswald in the north-east of Germany and it is intended to serve young up-and-coming musicians also as well as established artists as a platform for publishing their works.
Both founders have been strongly associated with the electronic music since the late '90s and so already today, together they can therefore look back on more than 40 years of experience. Both began their musical work in the early 2000s as Vinyl Dj's, but also they accumulated as much as experience in the digital field over the years. In addition to "playing" electronic music, about 3 years ago they began to engage in production. This circumstance then combined the two even more closely together over the course of time and led to the founding of the label just over a year ago.
From the musical point of view, both founders have their origins in techno and house, but of course their style also has passed through one or the other sub-genre over the years, so for example Tech- or Deep-House. Depending to one's own feelings and tastes of the time, sometimes it was a bit housier and sometimes a bit more technoid, but independent of this, individual elements always remained untouched of this. So always there were danceable beats paired with memorable synths and vocals in all their played and produced tracks.
Nowadays primarily in the field of techno, therefor these elements continue to build the basis of N.O.U.S. Records. So are crisp and space-filling kicks and baselines, deep and concise synths and all-round vocals the red thread of the label. In addition to all this comes the personal attitude of the two founders, which is characterized by an extremely high-self-claim and equally high degree of perfection and self-criticism.
In the hope, that what has been created until this day will continue to appeal to the listener, the aim of the label is to continue to grow and establish itself on the market. Thus, in this context, until today, even already some, promising, but especially young, artists could won for the label. However, with the knowledge that today's market is very diverse and extremely fast-paced, it is also important, not to be satisfied with what has achieved, but to continue and self improve. And so that's why it means farther continue hard working, working, working ...
